Sounds like you are spending more than they would dock you for the repairs. Quit while you are ahead!

Could be the chain, but let me ask this,,does it idle OK? Does it start to pull and then run out of pulling power as the RPM climbs? Yes,? converter. If it is missing as it goes up in RPM..over 3000, fuel filter is possible or fuel pump. A simple gauge on the scrader valve can test the pump, if you can put is where you see it as you accelerate,,should not drop over 3-4 PSI.
Tonight,,Emergency brake on, two people, hood up, go to REVERSE and HOLD THE MAIN BRAKES HARD!! Acclerate to at least 3/4 power and look...KEEP OUT OF THOSE SPINNY THINGS NEAR THE ENGINE,, look for sparks around the spark plug wires..
Can you describe "Wants to turn off"? a little more detail?
Good Luck

Is the motor any good? Did you do a compression test? Did you check the fuel pressure, needs around 55 psi? Check to see if you timed the dist. properly and while you're at it, have a feel to see if the timing chain is worn that badly. Did you see if the fuel and air filters are plugged? You have found out the hard way of how not to fix a car and that is replacing parts because you think it is not working properly. You have to get it diagnosed and if you can't do it, take it in somewhere.

its probably the timing chain and gears worn really badly in it that will throw the timing so far off that you cant set it with a light it will also cause it to hesitate and be sluggish as well as loose a whole lot of power, and nothing you put on the outside of the engine will help it,i been through this with a lot of Chevy's and when they get some miles on them you need to replace the chain and gears, for now you can run the timing up really high on it to get it to run better but its not a cure just a temporary patch job for a big problem, good luck on it.

You seem to have a huge time short someplace.persist with the useful battery cable right down to the starter and notice if the insulation rubbed off the place it touches the physique or another section.this must be an obvious venture.stable success-satisfied New 365 days!

I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOUR GET YOU VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED TO FIND OUT JUST WHAT THE PROBLEM IS FIRST SO THEN YOU WILL HAVE SOME IDEA WHAT IS WRONG AS WELL AS WHAT TO EXPECT.
TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR ANY CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE PERSONAL SERVICE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE.
