It is fun. Last time was when i "trained them in the los losnitos mountains in new Mexico. Finally got this horse that tame enough for owners family. The horse used to fly back to ranch when see got within sight.
Had a time almost fell off cliffs, knocked into trees, this horse was smart. Anyway she finally settled down after a week and as we rode back to ranch and got within sight I noticed all the goats had gotten out and where running around and I got her to gallop in and jumped off like cowboy. Horse probably thought I was nuts. Fun time. Looks like you had them also. Hey they may come back in style or be better than cars.

It's interesting how you can become attached and know that they could save your life and you depend on each other. Just think how it was in the old days. must have been wild and no pollution.

It's been a while. I was the 2006 first runner up in the world for queen of the ABA, so I ran a lot at the rodeo's, but shortly after I found out that I was pregnant and didn't ride at a fast pace, but I am ready for it again, I can't wait until spring so I can barrel race again!!!

A few hours ago. I give my fellow the opportunity once a week to cut loose, if the footing is OK. Fun and so smooth!! :-)
Forgot to mention cold weather has supercharged my horse. Instead of turning down the trails back to the barn, he chose all the fast ones... a real first since he's a bit barn sour. He went so fast, my eyes hurt! I haven't felt that turbo kick in like this on any horse besides a race horse. Whew! Still after a 1/2 hour of this I'd had enough and wanted to go home and thaw my toes. He was snorting and dancing all the way back, far from having enough. There wasn't a drop of sweat on him!? What to do with an ultra-fit horse for the long winter....

A couple of years ago when I was riding an ex-rodeo horse gone bad and I gave it aids when I wasn't supposed to but I forgot. I nudged him a little bit and he went galloping across the pasture where I was riding him. He jumped the fence and almost ran over my mom. I finally got him to stop. Kinda scary. I haven't galloped since, just because I haven't gone out on a trail or in a pasture in a while.

Man..thursday. But that was on a pony, galloping around the property for about 15 minutes to cure her naughtiness so i could make her trot calmly.haha.last time on a horse was about a month ago, in a huge field with two of my friends. IT was brilliant...its like something out of a movie. Its hot, in the middle of the day and theres no clouds at all, and we just galloped around like the horses had wings. People would walk past and stop and watch us. I love it :D :D

About 3 months ago I think. It was my first time riding my horse in a show and she loves to go fast and me galloped a hill and then back down and had to redo the course all over again.

Yesterday- we do dressage, but decided to play with barrels- the thing is, our full gallop (and she is going her top speed) is probably only slightly faster than a normal horse's canter, lol.
On an actual, intended gallop- my cousin's 16.2h QH used for military reinactments and speed shows- that guy had the actual 4th gear- his canter was extremely rough, but in the gallop- you didn't move. This was a couple years ago.

It was a couple of weekends ago. It was really cool, it was my friend's first time seeing my horses, and we were running uphill in this huge hay field. My horse was almost giving it her all, and when we got to the top of the hill, a small two-passenger plane flew over us. It was pretty low, but really cool. I don't know who was more surprised, my friend and I or the people in the plane.
Oh, and both of our horses didn't freak from the plane, we use to live by the airport so they had planes going overhead all the time

it's been a long time for me...the last time I rode a horse at a full gallop, I was 24 years old...I'm 33 now...but there is a long story of why I didn't ride in almost 10 years...but I have a gelding and a mare that I have ridden at a nice lope.
