I've talked to over 100 brokers and cannot find ANY health insurance. I live in Arkansas. I am a childhood diabetic. I cannot afford to buy the insulin that I need. If I do not have health insurance that will pay for at least 1/2 of my insulin then I will die by March. Medicaid is not an option - there is a year long waiting list. I can pay up to $500 a month for insurance. But $500 will not cover the cost of my insulin (which is $92 a bottle) for a month. I've contacted broker after broker, the state, and various insurance companies. The insurance at my local university will not cover me for a year (and will only pay $1000 in prescriptions anyway) because of my "preexisting condition". Is there anything that will help me?

It takes MONTHS to get in to see a doctor. I don't have that long. Also, I haven't found a single doctor that will see me once my current insurance expires (middle of January). I can't get in to see a doctor until AFTER that....

Can you check with the pharmaceudical company? Many of them will give people a reduced rate for medication if they do not have insurance.

They may have an application you need to fill out and it may require you doctor to sign something.

In NY we have "Family Health Plus". Does Arkansas have something similar? If not, contacting the makers of your insulin and filling out the right paperwork will get you your insulin for free.

There will never be affordable health care as long as people keep electing Republicans.
