Anyone have a decent menu to make for a birthday dinner?
I need:
1. A potato recipe as a side dish.
2. Some sort of veg side - I have mushrooms, peppers, zucchini, broccoli, mustard greens, carrots, onions and tomatoes.
3. A fish or seafood main.

How about baked salmon with lemon and cilantro, scalloped potatoes with the veggie side you just mentioned (minus the greens).

Top it off with a good wine selection, some candles and a little music.

Here are some ideas:

1. Grilled halibut with lemon sauce
2. Twice baked potatos
3. Sauteed zuchini and mushrooms with onions and tomatos and Italian herbs, sprinkled with parmesan

1. Teriyaki salmon
2. Mashed potatos with sour cream, cream cheese and chives.
3. Mushroom salad with fresh parsley, swiss cheese and lemon vinagrette.

1. Crab legs with cocktail sauce
2. Fresh hot sour dough bread and butter (skip the potatos)
3. Steamed broccoli with cheese sauce

1. Scampi
2. Linguini tossed with olive oil and parmesan
3. Green salad with fresh veges

1. Swordfish, grilled with lemon/garlic butter
2. Baked potatos
3. Glazed carrots with candied ginger and brown sugar

1. Seafood pasta (cubes of white fish, prawns, scallops etc.) in a cream sauce tossed with fettucini.
2. Chopped salad

1. Chilean Sea Bass, broiled with lemon butter
2. Vege casserole: on grilled onions lay sliced tomato, zuchini, and potato in that order. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with thyme. Bake 30 minutes and remove stems of thyme. Top with gruyere cheese and finish baking for 15 minutes.
