My mother is on procainamide which is the generic name for pronestyl. This is a heart medication to regulate an irregular heartbeat.

Does anyone know a manufacturer of this? I need to try and get her on the manufacturer's patient assistance program to see if we can get this for free or at a discounted price. It is very expensive. She's 81 and only has social security. I can't seem to find who makes it. I've been all over the net and no luck. All I can find is info on the drug itself.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Bristol-Myers Squibb, but I think they just distribute Pronetyl-CR. If she is just on Procainamide in the generic form, have the Rx filled at Wal-Mart. They fill generics for $5. If it is the CR form which is not avalable as a generic, contact the manufacturer--follow this link:

Copy and past it into your Internet Browser

Take a good , close look at the label on the prescription.often, the manufacturer will be listed on the label.
It's in small print so you have to look hard.It may be abbreciated," mfg", or " mfr".
You might also call the pharmacy or ask her physician.
