Do you think that diabetes will ever be cured? And if so, how and when? A friend of mine has had diabetes all his life and I feel sorry for him, so I decided to ask this question to see what people think.

Yes, I think that they are getting closer all the time. The Edmonton Protocol is looking promising. It involves Islet cell transplants.
Millions of dollars are being spent on research, all over the world.
We all just gotta keep contributing to the research funds, and keep hoping.

Thank God. Realisation dawns upon me before it is too late unlike my past when I stopped believing that 'The Creator' of Life & Disease is able enough to bless RELIEF as well, but again Why, How, When, Where he may bless with a CURE ... ? It is completely inexplicable unique experience for each of us.

FORTUNATE FEW
Few sufferers in the world seek to find the answers on a partial or temporary basis for an example maybe that's what we are doing right now in Y Q&A 'A platform to seek Truth'

There are other lots & lots of them who never strive, seek for a solution or ...
atleast they never know the simple options of Y Q&A is existing or the fact of mother nature or about the existence of the mighty 'Creator' who is there always to answer our prayers to bless in his own fashion differing to each of us, with what he can ... and he will ... when Truth prevails in the hearts of the suffering.

Lastly My Answer to your Question:
"During my painful horrible tormenting suffering with a disease I myself experienced that as a suffering person always cries, struggles, prays for RELIEF first (when breathless)... NEXT wishes for CURE" (only when relieved to breathe enough)"

Try to be thankful to the Creator for what we are simply because of the fact that
Relief is never less than cure
