I am throwing a friend of mine her bridal shower and inviting people from work. At first she wanted me to but then changed her mind because she didn't want people spending more money than they had to. Finally I convinced her to have a "Get together" at a restaurant and just have dinner with a few friends from work. I want to make it special but I really have little money to work with and VERY LITTLE TIME... it's on Friday. (Yea... extremely last minute but that's how we work !) Her colors for the wedding are pink and gold. Any ideas on decoration? Favors? I'm having the restaurant make the cake and I'm paying for that.
Thanks!

hopefully the have the table covered in a nice tablecloth? go to the dollar store and get some fake flower petals in pink, lay them down the middle of the table. get some pretty glass candle holders and candles from the dollar store and put those down the center of the table, some bud vases with a single stem of lilies (they smell awesome!) and put those on the table also. maybe get some pink fabric or fat gold ribbon and make a bow around the backs of the chairs to snaz them up a little. I like the ornament idea for party favors, find some pretty gold ones and have them at each place setting, maybe get a box of different ones so everyone has something different. you can personalize them by tying a big pink ribbon to the hook thingie on them. Or, maybe write each guests name on a more plain gold ornament with glitter paint and pink bow. every woman likes candles, so that's an alternative too. get some balloon arrangements made of pink and gold balloons and have them around your party area. you can also buy a couple bottles of house wine and have them out on the table. Sounds fun, have a great time!

Since Christmas is coming up (I know, it sounds crazy yet it's true) maybe an ornament for the tree. Anything that is wedding-like (a dove, a champagne flute, hearts, anything floral). You can usually find something at Hobby Lobby or any dollar store for cheap. We did this for my best friends baby shower. Every year when I hang that ornament on the tree, I give her a call to let her know that I am thinking of her. Or what about a small split of champagne? You can usually buy them by the case and the cost would be relatively cheap. I hope this gives you some ideas!

If you are having one table, then the center piece can be anything from balloons to candles mixed in with flowers in her colors or style. Perhaps you can call the florist that is doing her flowers for her wedding and ask them to make something up for you. Sprinkling gold and pink sparkles on the table cloth will be a nice touch, and tying napkins with matching ribbons will be pretty. For favors, consider something elegant, like See's truffles in gift boxes with bows on each plate.

How about giving out mini candle baskets as favors.
