They may or may not. Vegetarian is a general term. It blankets lacto-ovos, ovo, lacto, strict vegetarians, and vegans.

Vegans do not.
Lacto-ovo vegetarians do.
Ovo vegetarians do not.
Lacto vegetarians do.
Strict vegetarians do not.

Some vegetarians drink milk but vegans do not.

I'm vegan after realising as I have an Asian stomach I am lactose-intolerant - like 80% or Asians and 90% Africans.

Also the other reason I do not drink cows milk is that its found to cause Diabetes A. Soy milk tastes great for me.

I'm a vegetarian and I don't drink milk.
I have researched the industry (that is closely linked to the meat processing industry - that right there is enough to make me pump the brakes!) and I have found that the quality of the average jug of milk is not quite what it should be.
I won't go into details, as you didn't ask for that. But that's the reason I don't. I prefer rice or soy milk.

Vegetarians can choose to or choose not to drink milk or use dairy. There are different forms of vegetarianism. I'm vegetarian for health reasons and I LIMIT my dairy intake since too much is unhealthy. So I drink mostly Soy milk (except when going out for coffee or having cream sauces in a restaurant etc) but use regular cheese...just my way of keeping tabs on the dairy consumption.

One of the above answerers was wrong when they said no animals die to provide milk. Hundreds of thousands of male calves ("bobby" calves) birthed by dairy cows are killed when just a few days old because they have no use in milk production. They're slaughtered for veal.

That aside, I think most vegetarians drink milk. I'm not a vegetarian, but i avoid dairy because I think it's bizarre humans are the only mammal that aren't weaned after infancy. Plus all the various health problems associated with (natural) cow hormones in their lactation and the high fat content.

Yes they do! You are so cute! Vegetarians don't eat meat and because milk is not meat, they do drink milk! Well, at least that is what I think, it depends on the type of vegetarian. Love ya!

I just want to point out that cows aren't in danger of dying if humans don't drink their milk -baby cows are supposed to take care of that!
But, yes, vegans don't drink milk, and vegetarians may or may not.
I gave up dairy pretty recently because of the mistreatment of cows in the dairy industry and the fact that it's just weird to drink milk from a cow when you think about it. Plus, my diet was pretty much based on cheese, and that's not a good thing!

Yes, most vegetarians drink dairy milk and use animal products because vegetarians are usually strictly anti-meat (animal flesh). A vegan however doesnt consume animal products of any kind and therefore would not drink milk.

Yes they do.

But vegetarians do miss the point that many animals died to produce the milk.

All bulls, free martins and excess cows are killed at 1 week old. This is directly because of the milk industry.

So its not right ( as in the first answer ) that no animal dies to get milk...they do, the process and price of milk demands it.

There are many issues with the milk industry:

A lacto-vegetarian can drink milk. A lacto-ovo vegetarian can drink milk and eat eggs. That's the kind I am.

Vegetarians, yes, they can do so. There are vegetarian subgroups, such as lacto-ovo vegetarians (those who eat milk and eggs), or lacto-vegetarians (those who drink milk but don't eat eggs). Vegans do not drink milk, they don't eat eggs or honey.
Milk is not a dead animal. So I see things. Nobody gets killed for us to get to drink milk.
