type 1 diabetes is also called juvenile diabetes. most people diagnosed with type 1 are children but adults can also get it.
type 2 is referred to as adult onset. it is easier to control and is more common. people can get this type by being over weight and etc.
i have been diabetic for 9 years and i have my ears pierced with no problems
people say you should because there is a chance of infection but thats the case with anyone... hope this helps
for more info on type 1 go to jdrf.org
and the american diabetes association website is also good for the other types

go to medlineplus, gov for discussions of the types of diabetes. As far as ear pierced or tattoo there is no reason not to if you are a well controlled diabetic. That is however a good reason for a mother to give her teen age daughter if she does not want her to get pierced or a tattoo.

Come on. You will learn best if you do a Yahoo or Google or Scroogle or whatever search yourself and find out what diabetes is. It is a very serious condition and the American Diabetes Association is a good place to learn. Give yourself a treat and do the search.

which dibetes is worse? ...they both suck!!!but differently....i think type 1,"juvenile diabetes" starts when youre younger. type 2 ,kinda complicated in its own way, reasons for it happening are diffrent, too. one kind, your pancreas stops" pancreating", or making insulin. another, kind is the pancreas makes insulin but the body "attacks" or absorbs it , ultimately making it useless. and every thing in between and inclusive plus extra stuff thats not wellknown .diabetes is as unique as we are. what works in treating one person might hospitalize another thats diabetic. pierceings, tats, etc.are self inflicted injuries, adding strain on a body thats "distressed" . you might get away with it 9out of 10 times , but that 10th time, might get you hurt bad. hepatitis&diabetes would make staying alive pretty "iffy". diabetes alones enough...ill have complications from it later, for dessert. way later,i hope!!!!! hope this clears it up a bit. good luck!!!
