In the US, most soy on the market that isn't labelled "organic" is genetically modified. I forget the exact percentage, but it's around 70% or so.

I don't eat tofu, but I wouldn't be concerned either way. GMO is harmless. It's been demonized by those with an agenda who prey on peoples' lack of understanding of the science in order to scare them into being against it.
How about when you explain golden rice to someone and that it can rid the world of 1000's and 1000's of cases of blindness simply by providing Vit. A to children. Are you still going to be anti GMO? Or how about Bt corn that saves millions of pounds of pesticide applications each year (and the diesel fuel required to make those applications)? Nope; GMO, can't be any good.

A lot of the soy grown is GMO--not to mention wheat and corn--but GMO crops typically are fed to the animals YOU eat. If you eat soy foods, look for ones labeled organic or "no GMOs."
