I dont like mustard, and not sure if they offer oil and how that would taste?
What do you get on your sub? Mustard? Nothing?

If you request a clean knife, they must oblige. They do when I go in.
I have stomach issues, therefore I cannot consume alot of things that vegans do. Nuts, rice, seeds and some veggies and fruits.. particularly berries and corn are off limits. So as much as I hate meat and dairy and will avoid it as much as I possibly can, I have to give in a little here and there. And I will eat their bread.

I usually order mine plain.
Depending on the location, I might order a splash of oil and a splash of vinegar. (it's quite good - you should try it!)
However, if you have someone who's heavy-handed and they really SPLASH it on, your sammie could be soggy when you come to the end. (I hate it when that happens!)
Alas, there is a way around everything! You can ask for individual packets of the oil and vinegar or you could ask them to put it in a little cup for you.

I'm a vegetarian, and I used to work at Subway a couple years ago, unfortuanately!
Subway is the only restaraunt we have on campus, so I do a lot of eating there nowadays too. Everytime I go I order a Veggie Delite, which is the only sub they offer without meat. I usually just get cheese, lettuce, mustard, pickles, and mayo. For vegans, obviously that wouldn't include cheese. But they also have other toppings like mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, peppers, etc. They do have oil and vinegar also. Oil would taste good with veggies. It would add a little flavor, and would probably be healthier than mustard or mayo.

I would think that vegans would avoid subway, just because you can't be too sure what goes into the products there. You could always get your veggie sub (not veggie patty because there is cheese in it) and take it home to use your own Miso mayo, Vegannaise or Nayonaise.

A true vegan would NOT go to subway, things are cross contaminated, (that knife used to cut that meatball sub, just cut your veggie sub) AND true vegans do NOT eat regular bread, YEAST is an active LIVE culture, technically a living organism, their bread is made with yeast. ALTHOUGH they do now offer "wraps" im not sure whats in them, because I personally do not induldge in the "fine dining" of the said sandwich shop because I value my health and avoid supporting mass produced chemically treated and genetically modified foods. However, i hope this helps. Sorry for the rant.
