(I do have to add that I am breastfeeding so I have to add 500 extra calories onto my diet)
I had 1 medium apple with all natural (Crazy Richard's) 100% peanut butter (about 2 or 3 tblspns) and about 1/4 cup of Muenster cheese. Does this sound pretty good?
Plus I took my insulin like normal.

I know basically what I'm supposed to eat, so it is not necessary to discuss this with my doctor. I've already discussed it with him. I'm asking if what I'm eating is relatively healthy and good for a diabetic.

I can't speak to the total calories, but it seems a little heavy on the protein and light on carbohydrates. My normal breakfast is1/3 cup cooked oatmeal with 1/3 cup applesauce mixed in every morning. That take me to lunch with normal glucose levels(80-110). A dietitian should be consulted to make sure you have the nutrition for both you and the baby.

I eat just about the same thing for breakfast every day...a Dannon Natural cherry yogurt and an English muffin.

Sometimes I vary it a little...I might substitute some Special K or some oatmeal for the yogurt.

I know exactly how many carbs that is and I take insulin accordingly. I use an insulin pump and I'm on a sliding scale. That works for me.

Hi try changing your breakfast a little bit like one day mabe have some branflakes with a apple or another type of fruit, checking every day that your blood readings are level in the middle of 5 to 10, is good but you might get the odd high or low. as for breast feeding talk to your doctor and they might advise you on what you could do.

The things I sometimes have for breakfast are 2 peaces of toast white or brown, with a low fat peanut butter.
or an ordinary bowl of bran flakes or weatabix.
give it a try and see what happens.

good luck.
