You mean in the perservatives? I dont think so. But, personally I dont eat it as I dont touch anything with high frctose corn syrup. The syrup is vegan, but it isnt healthy.

Well the sugar may have been processed with bone char, but that's about it. If you don't mind chunky cranberry sauce, you can make it yourself. There is a recipe on the bag of cranberries. I think it's just a bag of cranberries and a cup of sugar and you cook it for 15 min. Put it in a bowl in the fridge until it's set.

I'm pretty sure the gelling agent for Ocean Spray cranberry sauces is pectin* (fruit) but check to make sure it doesn't have any gelatin.
*pectin
Definition: [PEHK-tihn] Present in various ripe fruits and vegetables, this natural, water-soluble substance is used for its thickening properties in the preparation of jams, jellies and preserves. The gelatinlike pectin is added to fruits that don't have enough natural pectin to jell by themselves. If pectin isn't used, the alternative is to continue cooking the mixture until it's reduced to the desired consistency. Pectin only works properly when mixed with the correct balance of sugar and acid. It's available in two forms--liquid (usually made from apples) and dry (from citrus fruits or apples).

Ocean Spray is pretty good at marking up thier other products as veggie or vegan so if it doesn't say i would guess there is something non-vegan in it.
I've just looked at the ingredients list on the web and they state "Flavouring" so you'd have to write to them to find out.

I've written to them and will edit this if they reply.

How flimsy do you think the labeling laws are? They "have thrown stuff in there" and just didn't bother to put it on the label? I doubt it. If it says cranberries, then it contains cranberries.

It doesn't matter. OS is distributed by a company that conducts non-required animal toxicity tests.
