you should have mentioned it before you started work, they could have made an allowance.
if you want the job, you should go to work. throwing a sickie in your first week does not look good

It depends on how much want the job. Maybe it you have a cool boss you could just talk to him about it. I would do in a way like you are asking for advice and not asking off. You might just luck out.

since your only training they could easily get rid of you and calling in on the first week is a definant no in the workplace. if this event is something you really want to go to then think wisely before you make any decisions.

I'm not sure why you would agree to work if this event has been planned for "ages." You should go to work as a discipline to youself for not taking care of this in advance.

You could ask them, but they might end up thinking your not very organised or aren't a committed & hardworker!
Don't skip work in the first week, I don't think they'd be impressed!

i would only skip work if say it was a party that say my total hot boyfriend helped to arrange

You could ask them. Chances are if you call in sick on your 3rd day, you won't have a 4th day. There's no such thing as "only" training!

no way........ theyll think ur not commited... but on the otha hand
tell them uve been planning tis for ages and u didnt want them to think u didnt care about work.... is the person ur talkin to is understandin ur off da hook... for that day atleast.. and it depends on wat uve had planned... depends alot on wat it is.. choose wisley
