im looking for any sort of device whether it be oximeter,watch or something else that is easy to operate to get your heart rate i dont want to use it for exercise i want to keep track of my rate since im on beta blockers..not looking to spend tons of money looking to spend up to 25-30 max..please recommend some

Your two fingers should suffice. Feel your radial pulse. Count the number of beats in 15 seconds and multiply by 4. That is your pulse rate per minute. See the link below.

Depending on how often you want to monitor your heart rate, a wrist blood pressure monitor may work. I think they cost around $50.00 When activated you can see your heart rate along with the Systolic / Diastolic values of blood pressure.

the watch type they sell are good. i got one for about 20 at wal-marts and it was exact with the monitors at my cardiac rehab.
