Ok so sometimes while laying in bed during my many sleepless nights my mind wanders and I think of all sorts of things..and I was wondering about this...
Lets say a man sleeps with a women who is HIV positive....and the next day this same man sleeps with a women who is NOT hiv positive. Months pass and this man ends up contracting HIV from the first women he slept with....could the women he was with the day after who didnt have HIV be at risk for it as well?
I dont think so because to me the time frame is too close together..he wouldnt have HIV so he wouldnt be able to spread it till later when the virus was "Stronger"
LOL maybe its a dumb question but I was wondering what others thought...perhaps I'm wrong..if so tell me so at least I know!

LOL dont worry Lilly it isnt me! Just a question I thought about...I've been addicted to Yanswers lately and like the "STD" section because its crazy to see just how little ppl know about all this stuff especially HIV! Scary world we are living in!

Oh also! I know it can be transmitted throught unprotected sex..but I was thinking the chances are a hell of alot lower because it was ONE day to the next..I would think the chances are close to impossible...

I had a project on hiv and im pretty sure even though HIV isn't active, but it is still in the blood. There is a 70% chance that the woman will be infected. If it was protected sex, less possibility that she will get infected. Any form of blood transaction can cause HIV infection.
Especially if the woman is during menstruation, then there is a greater possibility. You are right about one thing, the virus DOES get stronger as the man age. However, initially the virus is stored in the body, already making little attacks to the immune system, its just that immune system is strong enough to fight it back :)
Good luck! and i hope the woman isn't you. if it IS you, don't worry! I believe within the next 5-10 years, HIV will be curable. Hold on and take treatments in the mean while and wait for the global success to happen! Very soon i predict ;)

Yes, the man can pass it to his next partner. The chances are remote, but the possibility exists that he could pass it to the second woman, especially if he's nasty enough not to have showered or done any other personal hygeine in the meantime.
This begs the question : who sleeps with those losers anyway?

Hello, just because HIV doesn't show up on a lab value at late as six months later does not mean you don't have it.
Either way you're playing with fire.

HIV can lay dormant for up to 7 years. GET THAT 7 YEARS!
yes it is enitirely possible that the 2nd woman will also get HIV.
Keep that in mind...

yes, he could pass it on. definitely. if he contracted it from the first women then there is a huge possibilty he would pass it on to others. that is why you should get tested regularly!! :)

then yes, it is possible to transmit it.
however, if condoms were properly used, then the likelihood of infection or transmition is 0!!
