I had similar not so long ago,if you can get yourself a steam vaporizer from the chemist that would be good, they're not too pricey,i paid $40 australian dollars for mine, sit that beside you and it circulates through the air, breathing it in is good for you,i did'nt find the usual cough mixtures/drops to do any good at all,if you have a cough warm milk & honey will ease this aswell as relax you into a slight drowsiness,if the cough is reall bad try sipping vinegar at small intervals,a good prescription from the doctor & take in alot of vitamin c,kiwi fruit is an excellent choice as it provides all your vitamins, relax and just laze around,no heavy activities.

the antibotic will bust up the heavey mucis .
You must be on the way to recovery or you wouldn't be home. how ever standing in a hot shower gave me relief. And I use to sip the Vicks Day care product in the day and the night care in the evening.
this help me to cough up the flem in my throat. And it use to come out in chunks.

when I was in the hospital, this was another story it took the doctor many trys to get the right combanitation of
antibotics and vitmans to get me back on my feet plus I am a heart patient.

Just rest up and take what the doctor prescribed for you. I usually take an expectorant as well to cause the infection to discharge properly. Drink lots of water and sleep a lot.

Breathe!!! Keep your lungs active or you can develop pneumonia. Some antibiotics can help, but the best thing YOU can do is to breathe in deep breathes and slowly breathe out. Here is a tip...breathe in (inhale...not hold your breathe) as long as you can, and slowly let it out. Try to exceed that last breathe every time. Best of luck!

Antibiotics, a little bit of fresh air, plenty of liquids - warm blackcurrant is soothing - rest propped up with pillows, a humidifier if you have one. But antibiotics to start with. Get well soon!
