I couldn't find any laws in the US prohibiting climbing up buildings, but i just want to make sure...

The sport is called Buildering. They have a forum. Ask your specific questions there. Chances are someone has already climbed it. If not...lucky you.

Laws vary from city to city. Enforcement is also sketchy. Boston cops are more tolerant than NYC cops. Smaller cities with less 5-0 are also more likely to not throw your *** in the can for going vertical on the downtown. However, they may get into penny-ante crap like slapping you with a littering charge becase you left chalk-marks on the City Hall.

I beleive you could be charged with mischief, but more seriously criminal negligence! Negligence to your own safety.
