We love our Vegemite in our house. I buy it every fortnight in a 440g container. Our children put it on everything.. scones, biscuits, bread and butter, toast.... yesterday I caught Ezza putting vegemite one side of a slice of bread and peanut butter on the other... (yuck!) and Cam was having vegemite and cheese on fresh bread with a large glass of milk.

I' very happy that you have adopted a spread that has fed generations of children in Australia! Youare a happy littlw vegmite as bright as bright can be! Welcome to the club.

I like it very much honey. Vegemite is rich in B vitamins, but unlike Marmite and some other yeast extracts, it is not artificially fortified with the essential B-12 vitamin and thus not as good a nutritional choice for vegetarians or non-eaters of red meat.

on the first attempt i idea it changed into undesirable. yet after some more desirable tries i began to love the stuff. form of like scotch. It takes getting used to. Australians also like to trick foreigners as a shaggy dog tale by using putting it on toast thanks to thick. in case you spread it very very gently for someone's first attempt they could like it. it may also help not serving it for breakfast to someone who's awaiting something sweet/fruity. Getting something very salty once you're expecting something sweet can create an particularly undesirable first impact. How could you want it if I gave you milk once you idea you've been getting orange juice? That being stated i appreciate Vegemite! I also like Marmite and Promite and that i do not connect the perception that you should %. purely one form to favor as maximum Australians talk trash about the different manufacturers. all of them flavor of salty yeast...

It's called Vegemite in Australia.
I first met it in England and it 's called Mermite? ...something like that. According to my British friends, it's nutritious and they can't start their day without it.
Spread butter on toast, then thinly spread Vegemite on it.
I never liked it at first, but it's my favorite now.

I usually have it on toast, with tomato slices. I also like it as a part of a cheese sandwich. Sometimes I just skip the bread, and have a little finger dip.

I honestly don't like it! It's too salty, and the bite tastes a bit off to me, almost metallic. It could be my taste buds are different from yours. I love most yeast products and malts, perhaps I got a bad batch that turned me off.
