what does it mean when people say to get the chinese newspaper?

It's just random. No one could guess the answer. I'm surprised that answer is still around- it's at least 18 years old.

The two best answers I've heard are:
1. To get to the other side.
2. For some fowl reason.

Chickens have enough trouble with english, I'm surprised they could read kanji.
