Of course a diet that is low in simple carbohydrates is best. I don't use sugar; I lost my extra pounds and kept them off; I try to eat sensibly; and the best trick my doctor gave me is this: Use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoonful of cinnamon each day. I spice hot tea with it or use liberally in applesauce. This will lower blood sugar levels very effectively. The older you are, the more it will lower it so don't overdue! You can also mix it with sweetener and sprinkle on a piece of buttered toast. If I do not have a bedtime snack, the levels will be somewhat higher in the morning.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

If you are taking meds or using Insulin be careful because if you start eating certain foods or add a supplement that lowers your blood sugar, then inject meds you could drop too low and end up in a diabetic coma - it's Ok to experiment but be careful and work with your Doc & Dietitian in the process.

diet and exercise is really the only option ( other than meds), though i have heard cinammon helps regulate levels
marshaca- what you may be experiencing is called the 'dawn effect'.... if you haven't had a snack at bedtime, your blood sugar levels can drop during the night, so your liver produces glucose to raise it, and the morning sugar level can be high

Right away? Vigorous exercise for at least a half hour and eating half of a bitter melon.
Long term? Healthy diet (low carb... mostly vegetables), some supplements, good weight management, and lots of daily exercise.

Honestly, you just have to watch your carbs. Even though it's Type 2, defiantly use a meter to frequently check. You don't have to check as much as a Type 1er though.
