Recently working to reduce hypertension, sodium content of processed foods unbelievable! RDA guideline 2300 mg per day...next to impossible, but with fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains you can reach goal. I have moved from 139 over 95 to 101 over 75. Counting sodium mgs is no fun, but it's effective, and once you start, it gets easier. Doctors do not really know what causes hypertension in most cases, but I truly believe it's the American diet, read labels!
