i just started dating this wonderful young woman named julie and two days ago i went to the doctor with her and i just found out that she had it. she told me that she must've gotten it from her last partner, because we haven't got to that point in the relationship yet, but i still love her, and i'll be with her no matter what.

That's really cool that you want to be with her anyway even with her having the virus. My fiance is the same way. He loves me for me, virus and all.

To answer your question though:
There is no "cure" for HPV because it is a virus, however, most women are able to get rid of the virus on their own. Their bodies can basically "fight it off" and get rid of it.

When most people think of a "cure" they think of getting rid of something with drugs, therapy, natural remedies, etc. So, since there are no drugs or therapy to actually rid the virus from the body then there is technically no "cure".

Since HPV is a virus though, and there are no cures for viruses, some people will have the virus their entire life and are unable to get rid of it.

Take care!

All they want is the sale of the shots. Merk developed the Gardasil just for making money. They did not do any human testing before putting it on the market. They told the FDA that it had no side effects and since four of the ten people approving it also worked for Merk, there was no problem for the FDA to approve it. Each year the first shot kills about 80 young ladies. It puts several thousand in the hospital, and thousands more have some kind of adverse reaction. There are over 100 variations of the Human Papiloma Virus (HPV). Gardasil only works partially on HPV's #38, #39 and #41. They are not 100% effective on any of them. In total they are at best 80% effective on any of the three. Also, keep in mind that at least 20 variations of the HPV can cause Cervical Cancer. Each shot costs $300 and three are needed to complete the set. The resistance to the three HPV's only last on average for 5 years then the shots have to be repeated. It is far cheaper and much more efficient to just have the annual Paps smear.
