Is it because the only point to your life is, frankly, open to speculation and you want the freedom to choose all kinds of purpose to your life like we do?
Is it because you fear death to the extent that you cannot accept its finality, and hope to come to terms with your fear by mixing with those who have none?
Is it because your morality only exists at all because it was written in an outdated old book and you'd like the freedom to think for yourself about what is moral and what isn't?
Do you see how it feels?

this is one of the few questions i've seen recently that seriously made me laugh...
my reasons for being here (and yes, i'm christian) are about as deep as an ashtray; i'm bored, i live alone, and Y!A is the electronic equivalent of crack cocaine. i'm hooked, man. none of the other things you mentioned have anything to do with my being here, nor are they true. sorry to disappoint. thanks for the laugh, and have a good night.

Hi.Never read the "outdated old book" to many versions and inaccuracies.I have always had the freedom to think for myself. It saddens me to know there are many bigoted and self righteous Christians out there. They even persecute my religious faith ,but as God said we have to love one another as He loves us.Pretty hard to do,sometimes.

good way at looking at it. We all have a choice and decision to make what we want and will be doing in our life that GOD has given us. Some choose to follow GOD and others choose not to follow but we are all still people

Christians join R&S because the bible inadvertantly told them to spread like a plague across the known world.... and worm their way into every little nook and cranny looking to spread their divine disease.
This happens to be one of those nooks.
They're not looking for anything here besides more people to spread the "Good News" virus to.

Me thinks so.
In all fairness, though, Christians DO think for themselves about what is moral and what isn't. That's why they cherry-pick the bible and leave out the more horrible tenants like stoning children and burning people. They just don't realize it all the time.
