How are you going to spend it?
(one rule, -- you can't give it to anyone else)

people don't know what to do with a thousand dollars???

I think one thousand dollars is exciting...espec. if it was "free"....
to some that have lots of money, mabe it isn't a thrill, but to those that have little...it's like a million bucks....
I'd buy an airline ticket and travel somewhere I haven't been.

to vicki and nakedboy...IMO then, you are naive to the value of the dollar and obviously wouldn't appreciate it as a gift (referring to the original ??)...sad.

Can't give it to some one causes me a huge problem... I would have to refuse anything upon which I wasn't allowed to pay my tithe.

If the tithe were allowed I'd pay that then buy my helpmate a gift and/or some flowers. Then pay down a bill with the rest.

Probably something very boring like paying off a bill or buying a CD

That's a tough one. I'd either put it towards my truck payment, or include it in my savings for a down-payment on a house. Good question!

Taking two of my best friends out for the night! One of them is getting married, so we'll be dinning somewhere nice and drinking lots of champagne.

$1000 is not a lot of money, so I don't know what you are so excited about.

It's not a lot of money even to someone that doesn't have a lot of money.

It will buy a plane ticket at best and some clothes.

I would put it in the guard of a good financial institution.

The person who says she would buy a "huge house" must be living in a different century. Huge houses don't cost $1000 any more.......
