I am going to reach lovingly out onto the branch that you are standing on and carefully coax you back towards the trunk of the tree. I would like to encourage you to study the heart of Wicca for at least one year before you decide to venture out into the world of spells too much. Pay attention to the cycles of the moon. Mark them on your calendar, and observe them as they come and go. Go outside and look up into her shining face at these times as often as it is possible. Learn about the wheel of the year. Mark the holy-days on your calendar. On those Sabbats, prepare an altar and sacred space and observe them.
I realize at age 13, that this can be a challenge. You may not have a support system, such as supportive family or friends around you at this time. However, if you can, I encourage you to try and include a loving and caring adult in your life (parent or guardian type) so that they know where you are coming from. (You don't want to freak them out.) In the best circumstances, they may appreciate that you are taking your spiritual growth so seriously and perhaps find ways to help you along your path. As a parent, that is what I would do... but then of course, I am a Wiccan parent.
Read some beginner books. There are lots of them out there. Pick your favorite flavor. My favorites were written by Scott Cunningham. They were good primers. You will get lots of opionions on the "best" book. But, I encourage you to trust your instinct. That is the best way. Which one calls to you? This is a religion that empowers the individual to become the Priestess, to have a personal relationship with Spirit / Deity / the Goddess.
Take baby steps, and don't rush through them. Enjoy each of them for the treasures that they are. The spells will come a little later, after you learn about grounding, centering, personal power, intention, will, focus, and the law of three.
Blessing on your journey, dear Maiden. I am excited for you.

Okay as long as your intentions are positive, you are not trying to harm someone in any way or trying to throw a curse on somebody or break up a relationship or whatever, then you cannot mess up in any way that will screw up your life, I promise. I fooled with a good deal of this stuff when I was younger, the light side, the dark side, and in between. You can learn a lot about the real way this world works. I have personally evolved spiritually past that, but there is nothing wrong with giving it a try. The way it works is by the power of intention anyway, so you could put an old boot and some water and some acorns in a bucket, and if your intentions were straight and focused, you could make it a good luck potion or whatever. So bottom line, you don't need to sweat it that you will be conjuring the devil or anything. It doesn't work that way at all.

While the internet is a resouce, becareful on what information and spells you take form it. Since your are just starting out, don't jump into anything big. Learn the basics fist. Once you have those down, work your way up, try out new spell, items, maybe even try making your own spell. Buy stuff I am asuming you mean candles, oils, herbs ect. Invest in good guide books on herbs, stones, oils and keep them handy. If your area has a Barns and Noble store check out the new age section for books. I can reccomend one to you The Wicca Spellbook by Dunwich. It would be a good book for you to get started with.
Keep in mind the rule of three and the reed when doing any spells. Hope this can help even just a little.

If you're really interested in Wicca, study the religion and have at least a basic grasp on the spiritual concepts before you dive headfirst into the area of spells. Here's a website, wicca.timerift.net, that gives a very general overview on the religion, as well as some common sense advice.
If you are going to working magic, then it's probably a good idea to know what exactly you're doing. If you don't know how a spell works or what the various parts of a spell are, then you shouldn't be trying to do one. I imagine this is why many people even put warnings; so people know what they're trying to do before they do it.

Barnes and Noble has an entire section dedicated to New Age religion. There are books for something called the solitary witch... that is what you are.
Just sit there and find books on herbs, and candles, and other things like that. There are resources that you can use that will guide you positively in a happy way. Stay away from the dark magic books, and go for white magic if you are actually looking for spells.
The theory of the 3-fold return is something that actually has turned over into standard lives, and so you should keep that in mind. Don't try silly crap like love spells, or binding spells, just try lovely things like protection, or good grades, or the like.
Good luck with your experimentation, and congratulations for thinking outside of the box of Christianity.
Feel free to holler at me (I am not wiccan, but have lots of reference material, like you am curious) and I will help you the best I can.

I'm not a Wiccan or a practitioner of magik (but I play one on T.V. :-) ), but I have friends who are. From what they've said, a spell is not something to be taken lightly. One of the main sayings in Wicca is that anything you send out will return to you threefold. (So if you cast a spell giving someone bad acne, it will afflict you with a worse case than they'll get. Assuming you do the spell correctly, of course.) I suggest you read all you want to about it, but don't perform any spells... until (and unless) you find a Wicca group to properly learn from.
Also, remember that most of the stuff on the web is nonsense. (Feel free to apply that rule of thumb to this posting too!)
Be well.

First off, you need to do alot more reading about Wicca and Witchcraft if you haven't figured out that there's a difference between the two. Wicca is a religion, while Witchcraft is a craft. You don't need spells to practice Wicca and you don't have to be a Wiccan to practice Witchcraft. It's like saying you have to be Pagan to be a farmer. Witchcraft is something you DO, Wicca is how you WORSHIP. Two different things.
Being a Witch myself (non-Wiccan at that), you sure do need to do research before you start. Yeah, practice makes perfect, but knowing where to start makes practice safe. Magick is nothing to be trifled with - it is powerful and useful if used correctly. If online "warnings" scared you off, good. You need to do more reading and understanding before you start then. Those who have done this do not get frightened off by warnings. They heed them, understand them, respect them.
Remember, you can be Wiccan but not a Witch. I suggest you learn more about both before you start that "experimenting". This is a path, a lifelong path at that. Not something you jump into and experiment with. It took me years of study before I actually cast my first spell, and even more years before I found out I'm Heathen. I expect to keep learning about both for the rest of my life.

If you're "facinated with the Wicca religon" because of the spells, then you're not interested in the Wiccan religion - you're interested in magic.
Wicca is about the God and Goddess, not the "k3wl powrz".

Sweetie find books by Raymond Buckland. These are the ones that I started with and they have led me to find other abilities. Just simple and never do anything that makes you nervous.

Be very careful with spells, they can have negative consequences. Lets say you do a spell to become wealthy. Then a week later a relative dies and leaves you a bunch of money in their will, how would you feel?
