Also, remember that the Bible says:

Joh 1:3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

So if it was Created/Made, it was made through Jesus is what the Bible teaches. And do you believe that Jesus is "The God"? Because the Bible teaches there is only one God and never will be another and there is one savior and will never be another:

Isa 43:10 "You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.
Isa 43:11 I, I am the LORD, and besides me there is no savior.

Not two separate beings, otherwise God's words are wrong in Isaiah, but they must be one God Head, literally one. The trinity. Not seperate beings in an organization. They must be collectively one.

1Jn 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

and

2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
2Ti 3:17 that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

and

2Pe 3:15 And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,
2Pe 3:16 as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.

oh yeah and:
Jos 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it.

Plastik, you quoted a scripture where Paul was pointing out there is one God. But God himself said there is no other God, and nor shall there ever be. Paul was talking about the Caesar of his time who declared himself God. There were many leaders who would make such claims.

2007-10-10 12:14:24 · update #3

Plastik, I have not used any scripture out of context. I hope you have some scripture as well, but make sure it is in the context of what the Author is speaking of.

I see that everyone dodged the actual question, do you believe that God was created? Did he have a mom and dad?

2007-10-10 12:26:23 · update #4

The scripture I have quoted was delivered in plain context before God. Not to my interpretation, but to the context of the Author. I have not bent these words, but you still managed to dodge the question.

The book of mormon has been reworked many times. Why would you support such doctrine? Important parts have been taken out of it.

All these changes have historical evidence to prove them:

BTW I don't believe that God has a beginning, obviously he created everything that was made. Time is a law and had to be created, someone defined the law. Even nothing was created.

***************
Please stop dodging questions! Indeed it says that you believe Jesus (who is God) was created on this question:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071010123140AAaU24V&r=w#GMRrGUjcWXaVgRaKXIL1

Read the answers from imamormon. He says that Jesus was the first born. Jesus in Revelations (which you just quoted) says that he is the alpha and the omega.

So is this person wrong?

2007-10-10 13:28:14 · update #8

So basically you are telling me that you can "change" the word Create to be something else. In the original languages the word create means just that. Also "Eternity" means just that. All time, beyond measure. Always. You are trying to change the words, which is to try and change the interpretation.

2007-10-11 03:54:43 · update #9

********
The Create Argument:

The word Create in Hebrew: ברא which is to say baw-raw. Definition? A primitive root; (absolutely) to create;

In other words, to create. No hidden meanings in this word. Interestingly the greek much like this word, as in:

Col 1:16 For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created through Him and for Him.

κτίζω - ktizO - to fabricate, that is, found (form originally): - create, Creator, make.

In other words, to be the originator of.

How about made as in:
Joh 1:3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

γίνομαι - ghin-o-mehee - A prolonged and middle form of a primary verb; to cause to be (“gen” -erate), that is, (reflexively) to become (come into being), used with great latitude (literally, figuratively, intensively, etc.): - etc

2007-10-11 04:51:24 · update #10

Please stop trying to change the meaning of words. The Bible is clear, and the translations and history clear. It is going to be another few thousand years before this lie can happen. We still have historical documents to compare the word usages to, we have translation of the Bible (such as the dead sea scrolls and the greek septuigant) which depict the original thoughts and ideas of the Jews of the old testament.

Furthermore, we have the Gospel of John (number 52 manuscript) which is dated 66AD, which also validates the scriptures.

Not enough for you? We have Josephus' writings who was a greek philosopher. We have Palycarps writings, and many others.

Fact of the matter is, our Bible has more validity historically, based on accuracy than Homer's writings and even Shakespeare's plays. That is historical fact, look it up.

Mormons are being lead astray by many religious evil spirits of deception and you have proven this fact by your stand on the written Word of God and if only they would do the same, then, the devil would not have this power over them..Thanks maybe, just maybe one will listen....And come out of their deception..

Rev. 1: 8
8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

If God is eternal then why does He have a beginning?

Of course I believe that God is eternal but my point is that you cannot read this passage as literal otherwise it is contradictory.

Same with the passages you quoted -- you need additional scripture to put it all into perspective.

In short you need the Book of Mormon and all other LDS scripture to properly understand the Bible -- otherwise you get thousands of interpretation from all the thousands of religions.

It's logic -- plain and simple

hi. i believe that Christ is God, like it says in the bible. I do believe, though, that Christ has a father (Our Heavenly Father) and that his spirit abides with us and guides all of us when we let him.(Holy Ghost)

because i can't remember all the places that show this idea, besides Christ's baptism, PLEASE read this talk. I know it's really long, but it explains what we believe.
you can listen to it at the link. That's what i did.

i really hope this helps. Watch The one by Thomas S. Monson (a leader in the mormon church)

thanks for being willing to listen. Monson says where the bible mentions Christ, his father, and the Holy Ghost

1 Cor. 8: 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

you wanna start quoting scriptures let's do it.

now you're just quoting scriptures that condemn your ignorance. they are in favor of what we know to be true, not what you think you believe.

yeah i know what it means.

no one is dodging your question. but why answer somrthing that you are not spiritually prepared to hear? you just aren't there yet. soften your heart. and truly read your bible and stop quoting it to your own interpretation. your an antagonist. or a pharisee. just like when they persecuted Christ for coming in and shaking things up.

If you get your information on Mormons from Ed Decker, it's no wonder you don't understand. He hates theh LDS church and will stop at NOTHING to bring it down. He has borne false witness time and time again. He has also encouraged others to do the same.

If you want to really understand, go to http://www.lds.org and http://www.mormon.org and find out from us what we believe.

Hey devoted atheist...I found one of your answers to another question...

"WE DON'T, no matter what it says in any bible about Jesus or any things in the bible, we don't know because we weren't there! So people who post questions about Jesus and the bible SHUT THE F UP, because you did not live thousands of years ago SO YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED BACK THEN!"

Please don't lecture anyone on rudeness anymore. OK?

What a loser.

Mormons woship the same God as the rest of Christians. It is a highly un Christian attitude to attack Mormons or anyone else for their beliefs. What would Jesus do?

He is eternal - has no beginning and no end. He and Christ are two separate beings - one God, one the Savior and intermediary between us and the Father.
