It is said that God works through natural law and that we cannot always understand natural law. Does that logic quiet doubts and promote faith?

Is god bound by these natural laws?

A person is ill and receives a blessing. Another does not. They both go to the doctor and get a medicine. They are healed. Was there a miracle or science at work? Heavenly Father wants us to have faith and use it. Natural law with give the medicine the same effect on all. The one who receives the blessing also receives the love and concern of those who participate. The one who is blessed will have an increase in faith, which is just as important as a cure.

I would say "yes" that God is bound by natural law. This is just my opinion based upon God's corporeal nature (he has a body according to LDS theology). Just as I have a body, I can't simply levitate something because I desire it so. I must devise a mechanism by which I can levitate it.

But then again I've been told that I over analyze. lol

just because we dont currently understand how gravity works (example) does not mean there must be a supernatural answer. science has discovered germs, when before, disease was thought to be the works of demon possession. science has brought us the ability to fly when it was once thought impossible. so what im trying to say here is, keep your mind open to all possibilities when it comes to what we do not yet understand. and dont just put all your eggs in one basket.

it takes an open mind, patience, and hard work to unravel a mystery. common sense tells us that the earth is flat, sometimes we have to go further than just an assumption to get the real answers about the world around us. saying god did it, if i may be so bold, sounds kind of lazy...

God's house is a house of order. He is the source of Truth and Light. He created laws and follows them to a "T" -- He understands them fully.

If He were to stop following laws then He would cease to be God. So He does follow natural law, though His understanding is gargantuan compared to ours.

God created the laws and therefore can be above them if He wishes to be. You may not hear that at the Mormon church because this is something drawn from the Bible.

ONE THING ABOUT THE LDS RELIGION IS THAT IT PROMOTES THE FACT THAT NATURAL THINGS WORK ALONG WITH RELIGION, THEY GO HAND IN HAND.
