Why not stick to dog ?

There is no logic in choosing either animal over the other.

You are looking at it from your own cultural steroetypes.

If you look at the amount of food per animal, we'd be better off killing all the cats and dogs before starting on chickens.

For meat eaters, meat is meat no matter what the source is. It is only in the west and its holier than thou culture where dogs became so revered that to give any dog so much as a mean look will get you arrested and protested. For some cultures, dogs are a source of badly needed protein as much as say goats, sheep, pigs, chicken cows etc are. There is no distinction about "man's best friend blah blah blah" being more sacred than othe meat sources. As for mr. tofu man up there, pray do tell how and where can say a tribe in the middle of the desert or rain forest grow and make tofu? Tsk tsk

Because you wouldn't need to kill a dozen chickens to get the amount of meat you can get from one single dog.

King of Babylon, North Korea is not the only one. Indonesians eat dog meat too.

Outside of North Korea no one eats dog meat. Why eat meat period? Chicken is delicious but one could argue that everyohne should just eat tofu in place of chicken.

It might taste like chicken but the texture is different. Plus, you can't make a fur jacket from feathers.

Because that's what they do in their culture ... eat dog.

BTW ... how do you know it tastes like chicken? I don't know, since I never have tasted it ... been offered it several times, but politely declined.
