When you have undergone both these tests and they are normal, nothing to worry, part of normal physiological changes that takes place during pregnancy.
Eat Fiber diet more, Avoid constipation, and have fish proteins.
Avoid stimulants e.g coffee, etc.
However keep a regular ante-natal check up.
Relax, and do the regular exercises if advised by your Obs.

That's because EKG only shows what the heart is doing at the moment the measurement was taken. It doesn't show what it did in the past or what it will do in the future.

What you will need is is a recording device that will record your heart for 24 hours. There is a lunch box sized device that you can carry around and will continuously record your heart beat. A cardiologist will have to be consulted for this.

Good luck.

please talk to your dr because its important to put your mind at rest. i don't think you have anything to worry about though. these feelings you describe are common and likely to be harmless. the ekg records the electrical activity of your heart but it only works for the time the leads are on. when you have had the feelings you describe you probably had a missed or an extra heart beat, neither of which will harm you or the baby. this would only be picked up on an ekg if you were wearing it at the time. you're dr might suggest a holter monitor which is like an ekg that you wear for a couple of days to see if it picks up on anything that a simple ekg has missed.

You should phone your doctor and ask - this is a very important issue and you are dealing with the health of not just you but your baby as well. You are right, its probably nothing, but you can't afford the guilt of not saying anything and the remote chance that something was actually wrong that could have been prevented.

Good luck.

You will have to ask your doctor about this one.
Your heart does have to do an enormous amount of extra work pumping blood throughout your body when you are pregnant so it could very well be the cause (are you breathless as well?)

It's probably the increase in blood amount, due to pregnancy, but it could also be hyper-emesis result. Or an occasional extra heart beat (or a missed beat). God Bless!

your body is processing a lot of extra blood, that may have something to do with heart flutters. whenever i feel like that i usually just take a quiet minute and deep breaths.

It absolutely is. your blood volume increases, thus increasing your heartbeat. And you notice it more.
