I'm sick of all things turkey, veg soup. I like those new tofu noodles but need ideas for toppings, don't have a sweet tooth, but I miss corn beef, can't find torillas low carb, 1/2 a pita is 30 carbs, heck! What good food do u eat? Hopeless on Camano Island.

You can eat any food on the earth.
You just have to count carbs and it seems that you are already doing a great job !

As you know, meats and fats do not have carbs.So go ahead and have a corned beef on rye.All you have to do is count the bread carbs. We do need carbs for healthy living.

I just made a pot of my everyday chili.
I made a big batch so I can freeze a lot.
_Every day Chili_
2 lbs ground beef
2 cans crushed tomatoes
1 can dark kidney beans
1 can light kidney beans
1 can black beans
2 onions
1-2 peppers[ any color you like ]
1 small box of frozen sweet corn
Chili pepper seasoning
ground Cinnamon
Ground pepper

In a large pot brown the beef and then drain it to get rid of extra fat.

Put beef along with chopped onions and peppers back on the stove.Cook for about 5 minutes on a medium heat.

Add as much chilli pepper seasoning as you like and some fresh ground pepper.Add a few shakes of the cinnamon .

Add the cans of tomatoes and beans with their juice .Let simmer for about 10 minutes on medium heat.

Add frozen corn.Simmer another few minutes and it is done.

This is not going to win any chili cooking contests but it is full of veggies , vitamins , fiber and iron.

Yes, it has carbs but a small dish will fill you up.
If you want it a bit thicker, add some tomato paste .
I place small meal amounts in plastic containers and freeze.If you like, add some V8 juice when packaging for the freezer so it will be nice and full of juice when you reheat.
I serve with shredded chese, a tiny bit of sour cream and sliced scallions.
