Smoking causes Lung Cancer, Heart Attacks,Emphysema so why do you want to do that to your self? If you smoke quit, and if you don't ....don't start!!! TB is bad enough, why add another serious problem to your life?

I don't know about that but my husband had TB as a child and has been a PPD converter ever since. He has smoked since he was in high school and has never been diagnoised with cancer. But I would suggest no one start the bad habit of smoking I do smoke as well and it can be very hard to quit and it does cause alot of respiratory illnesses and ear infections, and make it harder to breathe. best wishes.

Not necessarily. Lung cancer is toxic cells so to speak. TB is a bacteria. If anything your lungs would get more damaged being that the tb makes you cough alot and the cigs will add to that misery.

Geez, why would anyone START to smoke, especially with a history of lung problems?
It might not make them more likely to get lung cancer, but would make them likely to end up with some kind of serious lung problems.

Go see you doctor and have him check you, and weather it's likely to cause lung cancer or not. what's the point of smoking knowing that smoking causes damage to the inside of your body. And yes we all know smoking can cause lung cancer.

They probably already have lung damage so it would be stupid to smoke and cause even more damage.

..."if" someone were that foolish. T.B has already compromised "their" lungs... Smoking will render the "final" blow...
