Sure. A person can be tested for herpes by a blood test if they aren't currently having an outbreak.

Herpes is for life though. So, if you have been previously diagnosed with it, even if you haven't had an outbreak for a while, you still have the virus. There is no cure for herpes.

Take care!

yes you can be tested for herpes simplex 1 and 2, but i noticed u said something about the last outbreak, im sorry to say this but once you have any type of herpes, oral or genital, you are with it for life, because it is an incurable virus, although, it can be treated to control the outbreaks, may i suggest you see your gp if u want a test, and if you want something to stop the outbreaks. I too have coldsores so i know how bad it is when u get an out break

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/curesHERPES2015hurL

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

Yes. The virus will be with you until the day you die. Even if you are not showing any signs of being active, the virus is still very much there.
