I think that when the taxpaying public realises that it will cost them plenty, especially if babies born to ILLEGAL ALIENS are also eligible for it. I would rather Hillary Clinton answer why the man who was ready to testify against her and Bill in the Whitewater scandal could have commited suicide when he had a .22 caliber pistol in his hand and a .38 caliber slug in his head! Make another one up Hillary!

Hey. I'm 14 and I know what you're talking about. It's true that at first it seems like a good idea but we need to stop and think about where the government is going to get $5k dollars per child. There are more then 4 million babies born each year. That's a lot of money a year and where do you think the government is going to get it? The answer's simple: You. It'll mean higher taxes for people like you and me (okay, so not me yet, but I'll be paying taxes soon). Nothing that comes from the government is free.

That's what I think.

Considering the child is born into at least $30,000 of national debt, that might help.

Other than that, I don't know much about it.

I haven't heard about this but since we are about a trillion dollars in the national debt I am not sure how it is going to be funded.
