I am planning my graduation celebration. What would you say a perfect party would be? I do have a budget, which is 1,000 dollars, so please don't make your suggestions to outrageous! I am thinking something along the lines of a dressy VIP dinner, then a more casual party with more guests, then maybe, a hotel after-party with just the VIP's. I am not sure yet, I have so many ideas! Please help, all suggestions and tips I am opened too!

I already have access to the ballroom for free, the hotel rooms will be payed for by my dad ( I wasn't including the hotel rooms in my budget). My dress and everything will be payed for by, myself. So the budget will go towards decorations, and food, and party favors.

Also, I am having 14 VIP's (including me), I was thinking maybe I could cut the VIP dinner down to just, like a dessert thing. That would help my budget situation. What do you all think?

All this talk of VIP's and such sounds a bit fancy with only $1000 and why 3 parties? Are you talking all in one day and with an "after" party people at the party before will know who is and who is not invited.

Where the helk are you graduating from?

$1000 isn't going to go that far...$25 times 50 people or $50 for 25 people or $100 each for 10 people. So I think you better forget about the dressy VIP dinner and things like that.

What's wrong with just your casual party with 50 to 100 guests?

1,000 isn't that much so I would see if you could rent a small ballroom and have a sit down diner at a nice hotel in the area.
