Fish and fowl are not RED meat. They're still meat but the meat isn't considered red.

Red meat has different fibers to it and it's harder to digest. Ffish and fowl are different from that. Fish flakes easily, fowl has a different cell structure, they're easier to digest.

The are meat ... not "red" meat, but meat nonetheless. Some people refer to fish, fowl, seafood as "white" meat.

They are animals.

Vegetarians do not eat animals.

"Meat" can be used to describe the edible tissue of animals, nuts, fruit and many other things.

Well alot of people only consider "red meat" (beef, steaks, hamburg, etc) meat.

I guess it is a personal choice everyone has to make about what their meat boundaries are.
