I've read a lot about people, having their skin problems go away(acne, etc) after becoming a vegetarian. I've been a vegetarian for about 2 months(excluded fish and chicken), but didn't eat meat for about 5 months. And i thought it would be great(health would improve, etc) But my skin just keeps getting worse and worse.
:((((Why?? What am i doing wrong?

Some skin problems are infections, some are hormones and others genetics. Go to your dermatologist. The best diet in the world may help but not cure some problems.
Do not suffer this needlessly, do not risk permanent scaring get this treated.
Things that you can do to help: 1) Keep hair & skin clean, never go to bed with out cleaning them both.
2)Use a clean wash cloth every day(you can buy a dozen at the dollar store few a few cents each.
3) Change bedding especially your pillow cases every few days.
4) Look at your diet are still eating allot of junk food? A clean balanced diet is needed to be healthy in all things including your skin. Not eating animal flesh is not the same as eatting a healthy plant based diet.
Slainté(to your health)

so you kept eating chicken and fish yet you still class yourself as vegetarian, or do you mean thats all you didnt eat? hmmm, your question is a little confusing.
you do realise you still need to wash well right?
edit - i see, i didnt read your question properly, sorry bout that.
it has been proven that fatty/greasy food nor any other type of food contributes to skin problems, however, the lack of eating can, so make sure you are still getting all of the neutriants you need and you will be fine, you may find that you are not eating enough protien if you are simply cutting meat out with out replacing it with something. by the way, 2 months isnt very long, im sure the changes will come soon.
good luck

A diet change isn't any guarantee that skin problems will go away. It could be related to hormones or something else.
See a dermatologist. I'm vegetarian and I have a weird skin and nervous system disorder called Prurigo Nodularis. I had it before I became vegetarian. It doesn't bother me as much as it used to.
I did have a doctor tell me that nuts and high fat food are bad for acne, though. That was a long time ago and I don't know if that's true for everybody.

Just not eating meat doesnt make a diet healthy, It just means your not eating meat.
Saturated fat in meat and the acidic nature of meat itself can be pretty bad for the body, including the skin.
Now that you have dumped the saturated fat in meat i would suggest looking for some good sources of healthy fats, these are good for your hair skin and nails.
Omega 3,6 and Vitamin E are all great for hair, skin and nails. Nuts and seeds are a great source, so are avocados. Dont be fooled into believing that all fats are bad, good fats are essential to our body, its only when fats become saturated that they are harmfull to us.
Since becoming vegetarian and improving my diet at the same time my skins has gotten much better. i have little to no skin problems, when i used to have many.
Detoxing could help quite a bit and so could alkalising.

Well, if you are eating junky equivalent of 'health' foods, this could be a problem. You need to base your diet on fresh fruit and veg, and go out from there. Fresh fruit is rich in Vitamin C, and green leafy veg is rich in B vitamins, which are essential for hair, skin, and nail health. Also watch your intake of fats.
For the breakouts, I'd recommend using witch hazel topically, as often as your skin becomes oily. Try to keep your hands away from your face, and wash your face with a cleanser morning and night. For skin prone to break-out, I'd recommend these cleansers:

You can either get them on-line, or at your nearest Whole Foods Market.
Best of luck to you . . .

yes, to be a vegetarian is gud, you can try to use meat less and increase vegetable in ur meal ofcourse its good for health. but i don't think being vegetarian your skin problems will sloved. just try to drink water more and more how much you can and avoide spices and eat fruits daily.

It's ok to eat beef again. Today cows eat a vegetarian diet, so really the cow is made entirely out of vegetables and water. Just consider it eating second hand vegetables.
