I became vegetarian thirty years ago because I didn't want to eat meat anymore, and I love creatures. I have a varied diet, but I also watch what I eat. I combine foods to create better proteins (whole grains with legumes, or beans), and stay away from most nuts due to the fat content. However, I think vegetarian foods are fresh, wholesome, and delicious.

I try to eat organically grown foods as much as possible, because supporting organic farmers started as a small-scale thing with people like me buying the stuff at premium prices years ago, and now it's ubiquitous. This just shows that individual change can start a movement.

I hope this helps answer your question . . .

>do vegetables have protein?
Yes, every living thing has protein.

>does a model only took vegetables?
Um, model? People who do modelling? Some eat well, others don't.

> for vegetarians, instead of vegetable,
> what other foods do you intake?
Everything -- anything I consider to be healthy.
Beans, grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes... what else is there?

> if theres an occasion, vegetarians
> dont eat yummy foods?
When I visit my wife's best friend's home for dinner. Her mom cannot cook to save her life. Yuck!!

> only vegies?
No. Look around, there is a whole world full of great food and interesting stuff that is all vegetarian/vegan. Every nation, every culture has mostly vegetarian foods, from Russia to India, to Africa, to Japan. Historically, traditionally, it has always been at least 95% vegetarian/vegan food.

> does vegetarians always looks thin,
> but healthy as they were?
Vegetarians can also be unhealthy. They can also not exercise. They can also smoke, do drugs, eat junk food, eat processed foods, and look like crap, and be fat and disgusting and ugly and gross.

> does becoming a vegetarian is voluntary or involuntary?
It's an natural progression of intelligence meets information in this world of morons and disinformation.

> does a vegetarian set goals of becoming thin?
Maybe. Not me. To be thin -- exercise. That is all you need to do. Exercise. Every see a fat bicycle racer? No. Ever see a fat runner? No. Ever see... ever see anyone who exercises a lot who is fat? No.

> expert vegetarian could answer completely this question.
You are welcome.

> sorry for the wrong grammars..
Better than most.

do vegetables have protein?
Some of them do, especially legumes (beans and peas)

does a model only took vegetables?
I don't understand this question, sorry. Are you asking if models are all vegetarian? I guess some of them are but probably not all of them. Eating disorders are pretty common with some of those people. (My wife is a Dietitian with a mental hospital and she works with people with eating disorders sometimes.)

for vegetarians, instead of vegetable, what other foods do you intake?
Fruit, dairy, grains like pasta, bread, rice.

if theres an occasion, vegetarians dont eat yummy foods? only vegies?
Depends on what is "yummy" to the person. I like starchy food like fried potatoes. I like chips and stuff like that, but I try not to eat it all the time.

does vegetarians always looks thin, but healthy as they were?
There are some fat vegetarians. I lost weight when I quit eating meat, but now I'm 50 and kind of lazy, so I have gained some weight. I also have a diagnosis of depression and I'm on Paxil; it tends to make people fat.

does becoming a vegetarian is voluntary or involuntary?
Depends. It's usually a voluntary choice, but some people might have to eat vegetarian because of kidney disease or some other health problem.

does a vegetarian set goals of becoming thin? I don't think about it much.

expert vegetarian could answer completely this question. sorry for the wrong grammars..
That's okay; I'm not very good at math.

Yes vegetables have protein, but a person should not only eat vegetables. Maybe some models only eat veggies, but many models are anorexic or have some other eating disorder; vegetarianism has nothing to do with models really.

Some people become vegetarian to be thin, but that is because they don't know any better. Some people look for any diet possible and think that vegetarianism is some "diet" for weight loss. It is not. Vegetarianism my be for people who want to be more healthy and cut out the bad cholesterol etc. found in meat, but many vegetarians simply don't want to kill animals anymore.

Losing weight is simply about burning more calories than you eat. A person can be overweight and still be a vegetarian.

Anyway, vegetarians also eat grains, fruits, beans, seeds, nuts, tofu, breads, soups, sandwiches, stir fries... you name it. Anything that didn't require the death of an animal.

Here is a link to the Vegetarian Food Pyramid to give you an idea of what vegetarians eat in a day.

A lot of nuts have protein in them. And vegetarians don't only eat vegetables. They eat whatever they want, besides meat. I think most vegetarians do it voluntarily, either to be healthier or because they don't like the way the animals are treated.

Nuts, legumes, soy all have protein that vegetarians could eat.
One of my best friends is a vegetarian, but she is a bit chunky, too. She became vegetarian voluntarily and not because she wanted to be thin, but because of "animal rights" and how badly animals that are slaughtered are treated.

i dont set goals to be thin, im not thin but i have lost weight since i became veggie. i wouldnt neccisarily say we are always healthy, you still need to make sure your not eating too many sweets and stuff like that. vegetables do have protein and it is enough protein to keep you healthy. i dont know about how models relate to vegetarianism

Actually dear, search for "Flexitarian Diets" and you will find a great diet that wil fit a model's busy life and need for good nutrition.

The answers you will get from most of the folks here are from fanatics who have no other life than reading lablels, talking veggie head stuff, beating on others who don't believe what they believe,etc..

If you want to maintain a healthy body and mind, look at the Flexitarian Vegetarian Diet. Esepcially if you really would like to be a model.

It's gaining in popularity faster than the old vegetarian and crazy vegans. Most of my friends, many of whom are in theatre, fashion modeling, or occupations that require one to be good looking are flexitarian vegetarians.
