Indeed they do, unfortunately. However, you'll be happy to know that there are some truly vegetarian/vegan toaster pastries out there. Any healthfood store, or the organics section of your local grocery store should have some.

Are poptarts even considered food?

they claim some poptarts are vegan friendly.. (whatever that really means) but they're processed and labeling has got a long way to go yet..

i don't see why they don't contain gelatin.. because they have fruit based preservatives in them. which means they're NOT VEGAN!

but some places claim.. IE:

it's really up to you to make this decision based on this research.

myself... i don't eat that garbage.. i want fruit.. i'll get it fresh and do as i wish with it.. (in consumption..)

either or.. most processed fruit items have gelatin in them. which leaves me to believe there's a slight scam going on here with the pasteries that claim they're vegan friendly.

read those ingredients... they always don't list all the elements that are in the processed foods.. use your common sense.

but most processed fruits have gelatin in them... old standard that companies use.

if you ever see gotarts(theyre potarts, same company and everything, just smaller) the chocolate ones at least dont have gelatin

good luck
