We use Oatly and Rice Dream. We don't really like the heavy aftertaste of soya milk.

The benefit for me is not causing death. 150,000 male calves born to dairy cows are shot dead at birth in the UK every year because they wouldn't be able to produce milk when they grow up. A lot of the female calves (except Organic dairy farms) are sold to the European continent for veal. Very few of the calves are kept for them to grow up to replace their soon-to-be-slaughtered mothers. That's the benefit for them.

It's because they add vanilla flavouring to some soya milk, especially the calcium fortified ones, otherwise it tastes more like cardboard. It should be written on the carton.
It's low in fat and you avoid any lactose intolerance. Most soya is GM though so...

vanilla comes from a pod not a bean.

Yeah it does a bit. Soya milk is full of protein and most kinds are fortified with calcium and vitamins. It doesn't have the fat and cholesterol of cow's milk. Tests have shown that each glass of milk has small amounts of pus and blood in... yum!

A little bit. That's probably because both soy milk and vanilla come from a bean.

Yes it does. Soya milk does not have any sugar in it (lactose).

That's because it usually has a bit of vanilla in it to stop it tasting of vegetable fat.

Have you read the industrial process involving benzine to disolve the beans then acid to bleach it the vanilla may be to mask the smell.
