A university professor challenged his students with this question. Did God create everything that exists?
A student bravely replied, "Yes, he did!"
"God created everything?" The professor asked.
"Yes, sir," the student replied.
The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are then God is evil."
The student became quiet before such an answer.
The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question professor?"
"Of course," replied the professor.
The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"
"What kind of question is this? Of course, it exists. Have you never been cold?"
The students snickered at the young man's question.
The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Everybody or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."
The student continued. "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does."
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."
Finally the young man asked the professor. "Sir, does evil exist?"
Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."
The professor sat down.

The burden of proof is on the person making the extraordinary claim. Where is the proof that there is a God? I need objective, scientific proof that there is a God? You can try as you might, but there is none.
Not one shred of proof that there is a God. Trust me on this one; I've heard all the arguments presented to me by well meaning coworkers and family out to "save my soul".
There are convincing arguments on either side of the fence, but as far as actual proof? The existence or non-existence of a God is a hard thing to prove. Read all the literature, spend some time with atheists, and some time with religious people. Come to your own conclusion and be happy with that. Be sure you research both sides, though.

The only way to prove that there isn't a God is to be Him. Since God is always around, the only way to prove He doesn't exist is to be in all places and do all things at the same time after all He is omniscient to prove He isn't there. Since He does exist all you have to do is look around for the evidence since He created everything.

The proof that "God" dosent exist? They are myths made to explain why some things happen. People all over the world have done that to explain why stuff happens before they found out the real reasons of why things happen. Do you really believe that there is an almighty being that can creat anything?

You're right. It cannot be proven that there is no God although the certain God portrayed in many religions may not necessarily be the true nature or concept of a God....but yes, there is God and God is Energy------everything in the Universe and beyond. God is the totality of all energy, before it forms into a matter and after. Energy cannot be created nor destroyed. We are also beneficiaries of this energy, hence, we are in God's image since we exist through this energy.

It's impossible to prove a negative. Same goes for pink unicorns. But with the Big Bang, Evolution, and the psychology behind religious belief, I suggest that gods are very unlikely.
The person making the claim must prove it. Without evidence for a god, there is no reason to have an affirmative belief in one. With 2,000+ belief systems based on faith alone, it is just as likely that Yahweh exists as it is that Elvis created the universe with a great pelvic thrust...

The truth is God does exist, but worldly people delight in unrighteousness, therefore God causes them to believe a lie.

Logic cannot be used to prove a negative.
That said, the word God with a capital G always refers to the Christian deity. Capitalizing the word (as if it were a sirname) began with bishop Ulfilas in the 300s.
Now, the Bible itself does not produce a coherent image of a deity, so no disproof is necessary.

There is no way to prove anything in relation to God. Sure, there are some pieces of evidence that we can use to explain his existance but what it all comes down to is belief. We BELIEVE that he existed and still exists and the things that he has done or will do. We BELIEVE in his death and resurrection and we BELIEVE that he will come again...we BELIEVE in heaven and hell. It is a choice that we all must make-nothing can prove it.

You don't need to prove that something does NOT exist. That's just silly. Where is the proof that there are no flying invisible elephants that are magically undetectable by radar? Where is the proof that elves don't live in tunnels deep at the center of the earth? Where is the proof that Zeus or Vishnu don't exist? Huh?
