Uh yes!

The most common STD's include gonorrhea, chlamydia, and non-gonococcal urethritis (NGU) which are treatable with antibiotics. You can also get syphilis. In addition, herpes can also be contracted which can’t be cured but only be treated and HPV.

You cannot get HIV from saliva alone but beware of presence of blood in which transmission is indeed possible.

Choose your partners wisely and play safe.

Herpes.

If a person has cold sores and gives another person oral sex, the person "receiving" can develop genital herpes.

Cold sores are usually caused by herpes simplex virus 1, but they can also be caused by herpes simplex virus 2.
