hearts, stars, pink are typical for decor.
Serve easy to munch foods.
The old stand-bys are mixed nuts, mints, cake, ice cream & fruit chunks. May even have cheese whiz in groves of cerery or toppings on club crackers like cheese or a minced meat (found in same area near lunch meat).

Decorations: blow up balloons & stick to walls, etc... with static electricity. Crepe paper streams.

Best cake: any cheap cake mix, add extra egg than recommended (adds more moistness), 1 tsp vanilla extract (adds flavor) & beat mixture longer than recommended (makes is fluffier; more air bubbles in mix). Bake. Frost (if canned frosting & too hard to frost, mix water into frosting until easy to spread).

Create games (with mini prizes). Make prizes into wrapped gifts with numbers on them. Each winner picks a # from a hat, bowl to know which 'gift' is theirs. Have fun, silly prizes: dress for a doll, plastic toy animal, toy necklace, bubble gum with baseball card in pack, shampoo samples, candy bar, jelly beans, pretty rock, etc.. Many times the winner gifts are more fun to open in front of all than the games you pick.

Lot of times girls like the box games with questions regarding truth or dare or dating.
