I have a 6 year old Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky female, Dakota, she is our alpha female of our 3 dogs. Lately, she has been getting in fights with our other 2 year old who is wolf/siberian husky/Malamute/ Akita, and has been hurting her legs, and left a nasty mark on her leg.

I have noticed that Alias, is veryyy scared of Dakota, and hides in her crate alot, and dakota wont let her out, to eat, drink, run around, anything.

help???

NOTE: I have had dakota for 4 years now, and none of my other Huskies have ever ated like this to a 'scapegoat'

both dogs are spayed, and our other dog is neutered.

I have been giving Dakota some attention, and working on her training, including working with alias together, and buiying dakota a toy to keep her occupied.

I also just realised that before my father decided that they were now 'outside dogs' this never happened acept for smasll fights over food or treats.

Girl dogs can be real B____chs. They actually fight more than male dogs, IMHO. Something has set her off, and it would be hard to pinpoint. Having them all spayed may help some, but it will not solve the problem.

Obedience training will solve the problem, IF you can find the right class and trainer. Contact www.koehlerdogtraining.com and see if they can refer you to a trainer in your area. If not, they have an excellent book: The Koehler Method of Dog Training by William R. Koehler.

Training will take committment and dedication from you but it is a whole lot better than giving up one (or more) of your dogs.
Give it a go and good luck.

this is not a good sign; if you are going to keep dakota do the other dog a favor and find a great home for her. she is being bullied by dakota and the bullying will only get worse.

this can rarely be stopped and husky type dogs are the absolute worse at protecting their territory from anything, mostly other dogs ...

Since she's the alpha, if you want to keep all your dogs, you should call a professional dog behaviorist for help. They can tell you if Dakota can be trained to leave the other dog alone. They can also help you do it if it's possible.

if they are females that is one reason but they also the one inc harge will be in charge of the male also. it does not matter if they are fixed or not. outside they have more time to roam and do things. huskies are close to wolves with out being them there are several kinds close to them and they are ready for anything take care.

Are they spayed?

You need to keep them separated, females seem to be pretty vicious to other females, once these types of situations happen.
