Didn't Christians just tack on a few stories on to the end of some other religion's bible? Come on. That's cheating.
All religions seem to have this, do what I say or suffer the consequence, thing going on. Can't they be more original than that?
I think people should make up whole new religions, from scratch, completely different from each other. Then we would have more religions to choose from. Personally, I have not been able to find one that works for me yet.

I was being facetious. I think ALL religion is bad. We definitely don't need anymore of it, and I surely don't want to be a part of any of it. I prefer to be a free thinker. Thanks for your answer. Peace.

I rethought my comment to alex t. and I'm sticking with it. You can't convince me that irreligion is religion. I don't worship the idea that all religions are bad. It is just my opinion. So if you are implying that religion is just someone's opinion, well then, I completely agree with you.

Perhaps God revealed His word to many cultures and that's why there are so many similarities in different religions.

Yes thats true, but still i'm not able to understand how very well knowing that its all false and unoriginal, people still convert to that religion (esp in India which is the source of many great religions).
We can understand people who are brought up in that religion, may find it difficult to admit what they have been following for years to be wrong, but why and how do people still get converted to this false religion.
Its high time jesus is saved from christianity and christians.
Else people will start making a mockery of this holy man, because of their false beliefs.
I'm sure jesus will feel very bad if he sees what is happening in this world in this name.

Believing that all religions are bad is in itself a kind of religion. You need to rethink the answer given by Alex T in this light.

You cannot find a religion that "works for you" because if that is the kind of religion you are seeking you are essentially saying "I'm looking for a religion that believes everything I already believe". Well you are the god of that religion (since your highest authority is your own beliefs). Are you a good god? Do others worship you? Are your morals superior?
I'm not saying this to be mean, but to hopefully point out some things you may not have considered. Peace!
And by the way - about the ancient Babylonian myth - this was established WELL after the trinitarian God of the Bible. In fact in the first few chapters of the Genesis, it already explains that God is trinitarian. The Babylonians borrowed this from the believers in the God of the Bible at the time.

Tammuz
In ancient Babylon they had three gods in their "trinity", surprisingly enough, that keeps coming up in all the other ancient religions.
Nimrod (the father), Tammuz (the son) who was born to a virgin mother Queen Semiramis.
They said the father and son were "one", only through them could you make it to heaven.
Queen Semiramis said that a huge egg fell from the moon into the Euphrates River, and her son (Tammuz) was particularly fond of rabbits, they said Tammuz died for our sins.
When they killed him, they placed him in a tomb, rolled a rock against the front, and when they rolled it back 3 days later, the friggin guy had disappeared! I think I've heard that somewhere before.
Semiramis become to be known as "Ishtar" and her moon egg became to be known as "Ishtar's egg".
Ishtar became "Easter" and from there you get the origins of a supposedly "Christian" holiday, which is meant to be celebrating the resurrection of christ.
Now that all occured 2000 BCE, many years before Christianity.
Coincidences are amazing, aren't they?
==========================
Mithra
I mean you might say, "well thats just a one off". In that case read on and you'll be surprised.
Lets move on to "Mithra".
Now the reason why so many people moved from Mithra worship to Christianity, is because it was seemless.
Only the names changed, everything else remained the same.
They said that mithra was born to a virgin mother (yet again) surprisingly in a cave on December the 25th!!!
Mithra had twelve disciples, I've heard that somewhere before as well.
He died to save the sins of humanity, he was the good shepherd, Son of god; Redeemer; Lamb of god; the Way, the Truth and the Light; Messiah; Light of the World.
Surprisingly enough, all of those attributes are also shared by Jesus in Christianity!
He also came back to life, he had his last supper before he went to heaven, he died for the sins of mankind, and was also part of a trinity which was worshipped.
It goes on and on, I mean its just a bloody mirror, and this was in 600 BCE.
Horus and Isis
Ask yourself again, are all of these just one off's or coincidences?
Now we'll move on to Ancient Egyptians who (yet again) also worshipped a trinity.
Horus was born to a virgin mother isus, and here she is holding him:
As you can see the symbolism of the sun pops up yet again!
This was in 3000 BCE, I'm just wondering whether these people were psychics.
Everything means something, these were all sun worshippers.
You can see the symbolism everywhere.
The halo you see on the head of Jesus and Mary, is symbolising the sun.

Christianity is following Jesus. Regardless of what the rest of the world is doing or thinks about it.
It is attached to the Jewish scrolls because our Jesus came for them. Therefore we desire to know all there is about Jesus, which includes God and all the scribes.
There is no such thing as a religion older than that of the Jew. The fakes cropped up, as a result of Jesus having died on the cross. The devil hates Him and will do anything to destroy the gospel, including mix it up with a whole slew of fakes.
