i ask that because i have heard that the herpes virus is defeated by our immune system, but the virus is very small and has the ability to hid in the nerve cells in the spine, and the white blood cells cant get to them there, until there is a stress reaction that causes them to come out.

Were else does the herpes virus hide?

i know that, i am just saying that when u have an outbreak the virus gets out of the nerves, and into the bloodstream, the body then fights it off...but there are still some herpes cells that stay in the nerve..alright maybe you should go read something about it instead of reading the little caption on the valtrex comertial..

No, the herpes virus does not affect the blood of a person. This is why people with herpes can (and do) donate blood.

Herpes is a DIRECT skin to skin contact disease. If a person has any kind of contact with herpes sores or any contact with an infected area they could contract herpes.

When babies are born with herpes it's because of the DIRECT skin to skin contact they have with herpes sores from the mother as they are coming through to birth canal. That is why a C-section is often recommend for mothers with an active genital herpes outbreak. A C-section delivery will completely prevent the baby from contracting the virus because they aren't coming into contact with the sores.

Herpes suppresses itself in the nerves and spine and when it "flares up" it can cause an outbreak. Certain "triggers" can cause an outbreak, like food, stress, or other activities.

Take care!

***Maybe you should rephrase your question a little more so people can understand you better. The herpes virus lives in the nerves - period. It never "travels" or "gets into" the blood stream.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/treatmentsHerpes2o15Qfk7

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

Herpes hangs out in the microtubules of the nerve cells. In times of stress, an outbreak occurs. The virus that causes chicken pox is a herpes virus. This same virus causes what is known as shingles which, when an outbreak occurs, follows the path of the affected nerve. While there are antivirals available to help suppress the shear numbers of the virus in the body, you will never be rid of if.

Herpes is brought about by ability of an epidemic. relatively, there is little scientific shield viruses those days. the only ingredient which you would be able to oftentimes do contained in relation to a viral an infection is advance the immune device and desire it fights it off. no longer with Herpes, the immune device can not win against it. subsequently you basically get to handle the indicators. as quickly as you're contaminated, it remains with you for existence. My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?

But after a friend share this video everything has changed.

Alli is correct.

One thing that may cause confusion is that while HSV does not live in the blood stream, our bodies response to the infection does live in the blood -- antibodies.

That is why it is possible to take a blood test to test for HSV infections which are both very sensitive and specific (rare to have a false positive or false negative). However, it can take up to 4 months for your antibodies to show up in the blood, and a positive blood test will not tell you where the HSV infection is located --- just that you have one.
