Is there a way to make the screen saver come on immediately?

Sometimes I know I'm going to walk away from my computer for a while and don't want to turn it completely off, but don't want my desktop burned into my screen either, and don't want to wait for my screen saver to kick in. I'm using Windows Vista.

Thanks to those who answered, but...
(1) getting the lock screen is NOT the same as a screen saver, especially if I want a blank screen saver to save laptop power too.
(2) there is NO "properties" selection via the right-click menu using Vista!
Does anyone have a better answer?

subchan's answer is good, but here's an easier way: hold down the windows key, and hit l. If you have a password set up on this user account, it'll take you to the log in screen.

it's really not a problem unless your using a VERY VERY old monitor.
the monitor you have now won't burn anything into your screen.
but if you want your screen saver to come up faster,
right click your desktop>click properties>screen saver tab and chose your desired screen saver and how long you want the computer to wait when idle before switching on the screen saver.
however, if you have password set up you can go instantly to the login screen by pressing both the windows key and the L key at the same time.
great for when someones coming and you don't want to get caught with naughty pictures on your screen.

Maybe you should set your screen saver to go off after 1 minute. Starting it manually its only a preview, of course it comes back to the desktop.

Right click on your desktop and click properties in the context menu that appears.

In the display properties box click the screensaver tab.

Click the Preview button

You can either set your screensaver to go on in a short amount of time, say, 1 minute, or you can go Start/Turn Off Comupter/Stand By. That'll put your computer into a low power state, and turn off the monitor.

screen burn-in is an 80s problem that was solved in the early 90s so unless your using a 20 year old screen i wouldnt worry about it. its gone the only screens suseptibule to it are old monochromes (AKA the screens on ATM machines)

Right click DESKTOP
Choose NEW>\SHORTCUT
Click BROWSE
Navigate to c:\Windows\System32
Look for and Select Ribbons.scr. (You can search for *.scr files in System32 and you'll see screensavers for you to select. Choose your favorite. I chose Ribbons.scr because its my favorite)
Click OK
Right click newly created shortcut
Select PROPERTIES
Select SHORTCUT KEY
Press and hold these keys on your keyboard CTRL+ALT+Z to assign a shortcut key for your screensaver shortcut.
Now when you walk away and want to run a screensaver, just hit CTRL+ALT+Z
