I am a 20yr old female. I have a fast heart rate all of the time. My cardiologist who im seeing now trys a different pill every time i go see him. I have symptoms that go along with the fast heart rate such as: passing out, palpitations, chest pain, and lightheadedness. Out of about 3 different ones, nothing has helped and the symptoms persist and some have even gotten worse such as the chest pain and palpatations. Has anyone else had this problem or knows of someone who had this problem? Im just frustrated becuase nothing seems to be working

As one who suffers with the same issue with the exact same symptoms, this is what I know....
1. Healthy eating
2. Maintain a healthy weight
3. Exercise
4. Dont smoke
5. Dont drink
6. Lose weight
7. Avoid caffine
8. Have a sleep study to rule out/treat sleep apnea as this puts tremendous strain on your heart.

There are other bits of information that would be helpful: weight, cholesterol level, triglyceride level, blood pressure and heart rate. Do you get any physical exercise?
For people in fairly good health and have no other problems than the fast heart rate, regular physical exercise will strengthen the heart and the rate will naturally slow down. The herbs hawthorn berry and cayenne pepper will help to regulate heart rate and blood pressure.

That is what pacemakers are for. I have one since June this yr. Even babies have to have them sometimes. Anyone can have heart problems. I would ask him about that, it would probably end all those problems.
Like the passing out, what if you are driving? But that is defintely what they are used for, I have severe heart trouble.
I had one heartattack and then bypass, then bypasses collapsed one by one every month or so till I had 4 total.
Have lots of stents. Recently the pacemaker.

Hi,
Do you have high or low blood pressure?
Cholesterol?
Are you a healthy weight?
Do you get the palpitations when you are anxious or stessed or when exercising?
I know I would be feeling frustrated too. :-(
Email me to chat.
Marian.

try to lose some weight... might be a sign telling you that your heart is over worked... your blood pressure also has to be lowered down.... is not normal for your age.... for your age should be ranging between 110-120/70-80

Please please get checked out by another doctor. I was diagnosed with postpartum cardiomyopathy after my daughter was born. It got worse and I was hospitalized with congestive heart failure because the doctor I was seeing obviously didn't think it was that bad. This isn't something to play around with. Postpartm cardiomyopathy isn't very common, but it is very serious. Please get another opinion from another doctor.
