I am a Muslim and have no intentions of converting, but I was just wondering a few thing about your religion, again I am not going to convert...
How was Jesus God's son? If god created him, wouldn't we all be his sons and daughter, and Jesus won't be the only one?
If Jesus is God, and he is the son of God, can Christianity be considered a monotheistic religion, or is Jesus the son of himself?

How could Jesus be God's first son, if there were people before Jesus was "born"?

God sent his only son to die on the cross. God is his son and his son is God.

Father, son, and Holy spirit.

very good questions!!

You asked:
How was Jesus God's son? If god created him, wouldn't we all be his sons and daughter, and Jesus won't be the only one?
My answer:
Jesus was God's FIRST child not the ONLY one. We are indeed His sons and daughters. Like it is written in 1John 3:1:
"Consider this: The Father has given us his love. He loves us so much that we are actually called God's dear children. And that's what we are. For this reason the world doesn't recognize us, and it didn't recognize him either."

You asked:
If Jesus is God, and he is the son of God, can Christianity be considered a monotheistic religion, or is Jesus the son of himself?
My answer:
The Fhater and the son are one like Jesus said in John 10:25: "Jesus answered,... " I and my Father are one."
If you take to the greek wording: ONE (hes). Nature, no masculine (heis). Not one person but one essence or nature. so.... The Father and the son (Jesus) share the same oneness, essence or nature. but they are not the same person.
Than you ask me: So, which one is God??? Bouth are God manisfested in diferent ways.
God is ONE (one essence) formed by three people: The Father, the son and The Holy Spitit.
For example: An egg is one but with three distinctions. You have the yoke, the white, and the shell, but all three composite the one egg.

God the Father is a Spirit, Jesus is God in the flesh, Son of Man, Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the Father because they are both have the same Holy Spirit. Read John 15:verses 1,2, it can't get much better than that, the Father,Vine, Branches. FATHER, SON , HOLY GHOST. I really can't explain it any better. Jesus came and took on the form of man and died on a cross for YOU. YOU are sinner just like me. Romans 3:10, none is righteous, no not one, Romans 3:23, For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. This verse is another example of the trinity that you seem to have a problem with, but just the same it is truth. Being a Christian is hard, it takes dedication. Matt.7:13-14, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Obviously I have given you a lot to think about, send me an email if you have any questions. The US has been the most blessed nation ever on the face of the planet. Now all religions are disappearing, but the Bible says God knows his children and soon he will come and take his church home. If you would like to accept Jesus as your Saviour, heres how, a simple sinners prayer, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. God Bless YOU!!

Okay let me try to explain it to you. God is a Spirit, who took on human flesh as the one called Jesus. IN human terms Jesus is referred to as the Son, but in fact that is not too hard a concept. For if you are born a male you are a son, but you may one day have children and become a Father, and you may also be an employee but your name is not Father, Son, or Employee your name is whatever your name is. God the Father,Son, and Holy Spirit are not three but one God and the name of God is revealed in Act 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
Act 4:11 This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
No name other than the name of Jesus leads to salvation!

Jesus became the Son of God by the power of the Holy Spirit,
He was begotten, not made,
By accepting Christ as our Lord and Saviour we all "become" sons and daughters of the Most High
I am a born-again Christian and i cannot explain the trinity to you, Christians give many different answers to some questions because everyones knowledge is at different levels, hopefully foundational doctrine is upheld.
Google the Nicene or Apostles Creed for a true summary of what our beliefs are.
p.s. the word "catholic" in the creed refers to the "universal" body of Christ, which is the believers and not the "Catholic" Church.

It is confusing. God is a mystery and I won't try to tell you that I know the mind or the intentions of God. But I do know that the Creator is love and I believe in Father God/Mother God/Jesus/Holy Spirit. I believe that they are individual with the same intentions for humanity, thereby having the same spirit.

Jesus was not "created" He was BEGOTTEN. there's a difference. Jesus was in the beginning.
"In the beginning was the WORD (Jesus), and the WORD (Jesus) was with God, and the WORD (Jesus) WAS GOD." John 1:1
Jesus is God's Son in that He made Himself man (actually fully God and fully man) and came to earth. He was BORN of an earthly mother. That's how He is God, and also the Son of God. They, along with the Holy Spirit, are ONE GOD. NOT THREE, BUT ONE GOD IN THREE PERSONS.
There were no people created before Jesus. He was with God in the Beginning. God consists of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It takes all three to make One Godhead.

Jesus is God in a human form. God created his son Jesus to be born to the virgin Mary. He put him on earth to forgive our sins so we can live an eternal life in heaven. God is like an apple the core is god, the fruit part is the holy spirit and the skin is Jesus and even though there are three different parts it is still one apple, Jesus is God in a human form, the holy ghost in god in a ghost form and God is God!

Well its one of those things about God that no one understands fully you just have to accept it. God basicaly sent part of himself into Mary so he could be come human. Because humanity sins and God loves us so much he had to sacrifice his only son who was both 100% divine and 100% human because he is the only one who would be able to take on all the sins that ever had been and would be so that we might be saved. Hope this helps clear things up.

In my understanding as a Christian due to original sin we were separated from God. Jesus Christ was sent to reconcile us. I understand that Muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet and his virgin birth. As a Christian I believe this as well. I among other Christian sects that believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the word of God, his son that was sent as a sacrifice to reconcile us to God. Yes he is God, along with the Holy Spirit, and God the father. It is a trinity view of God. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all one. By this belief we are the adopted children of God. Jesus the word of God leads us to the Father.
