He advised me that i was paying to much for my gas and electric. He showed me the amount that I paid for both last year. I thought that this information would be held under the Data Protection Act. So how does he have a print out of it.

Steve, He read the figures from a clipboard and advised me of how much I had paid for fuel. I did not tell him my consumption figures as I did not know them.

Report this to the energy watchdog, you're right he shouldn't have access to this information. Are you sure it was definitely yours and not just a sample that he uses when he's pitching to everyone, I only ask because I wouldn't have a clue what I used last year.

Normally what I do if they ask if the lady or gentleman of the house is around...I will say NOPE. Same thing with phone calls. When they ask when they will be here..I say...gee I am not sure!!! lol

I never give those guys my info, be careful you might end up regretting it...

Good luck Hun with that

I assume you told him how much you are using ?

Given how much you used, it's quite easy to work out what various energy suppliers would be charging you
